The StoryHunters (or The StoryDudes!)
New world besties!! The Storyhunters, or as I like to call them, the Storydudes (credits to Fynn). They started off like a fandom kinda thing where they travel to their worlds and talk to the characters, but I actually came up with a rough plot for five of them.
There are actually more than five people that will join the Storydudes in the whole of its history (which is forever, honestly), but only five of them will stay. So, where do the rest go?
To understand that, I have to explain how they ended up in the group in the first place. So most of them actually came from a world, but didn’t feel like they fit into that world, genre or the character there, so they left. At the start, The Storydudes only recruited people from books, but as their numbers grew, they started traveling to worlds other than books, such as shows or games. They mostly do a meet and greet, and hang out with the characters there, or explore the place. Rarely anyone ever finds a fitting world for them, maybe 1 in 1000 of them will leave at every world. However, around 1-2 people will join the gang at every world. Btw, the Storydudes are technically doing something illegal, so these people called eyes are invented by a group of incognito creators to track the group down and force them back into their respective worlds. It’s possible for other creators to secretly buy Eyes to hunt for their characters, though most of them are against such methods. Some are okay with them leaving, while others might be suspicious of their whereabouts, and want to keep them in their worlds to keep their world’s reputation. (Having a character in the Storydudes is a disgrace for the writers, though some writers do not feel the same.) There are appointed ppl in the group to cover their tracks, so as to not be found by the Eyes. Anyways, the goal for every Storydude is to find a suitable world where they feel at home in. And most of them do. Except for maybe 7. Then 5. Then 1.
That one is a young fawn demigod from Percy Jackson’s world, who due to its timid nature, doesn’t want to fight alongside the Roman demigods. Furthermore, he doesn’t fit in the demigod camp or fawn waiters, since he’s half of each. He’s the one that kick starts the Storydudes. During teh awakening of the Titans, he freaked out and ran away with the dryads. However, during the escape, one of the demigods sees him and threatens to drag him back to the fight. In a panic, he runs into an undeveloped shop by the author and the world glitches. He is ejected from the world and cast into the unending darkness where he falls and falls until he reaches the platform where the Gardener works. (Long story. More on the Gardener soon.) He stays there for awhile, healing from his wounds and watching the Gardener to her job. (More on that too.) The Gardener tells him about a platform he can use to return to his world, and the fawn agrees. However, when teh Gardener reels in his world to fix, he sees the wreckage there from the fight. Furthermore, he sees his best friend dead on the battleground, and fears for his own safety. He’s peeking from the ottoman he’s supposed to be sleeping on, so the Gardener doesn’t know that he can see all this. When the Gardener finally goes to bed, he makes the decision to use the platform to escape to another world. He, however, doesn’t know the sheer amount of challenges he will face and how many people are tracking him down. When he is woken up by the Gardener, he packs a duffel bag with necessities and sets off into the darkness once again.
He meets Greyson in his next world, an aroace guy. Obviously, being an aroace person in a romance novel is literally hell, so you can guess why he left. (I haven’t read the series yet, so I might have to ask Fynn for more information.) But anyways, he’s normally dragged to parties with his ‘friends’. Honestly, he doesn’t even like them, but only goes because he has to keep everything under control. When he finds Alfie explains his mission while hiding in the janitor’s cupboard, he doesn’t hesitate to join him on his adventure. They do have to find a way out of this world, however. (Alfie fell into the world unintentionally.) They manage to escape with some of the characters help, and climb aboard the magical platform. But, just hours after they find their way back to the platform, they’re called to the Librarian, who tries to send them back to their respective worlds. The two of them manage to squirm out of her grasp, but not without consequences.
When the two boys meet the creator of Miranda’s book at the Library, she ushers them to hide in her book, where they are transported to the main character, Ron. He’s currently sitting at his work table, so they just teleported straight under it. Alfie hits his head on the top of the table, and the Ron hears the sound. He meets the two guys, who explain the situation. ‘We need more people to help us hide from the Librarian. Is there anyone who wants to leave and is intelligent enough to come up with ideas on the spot?’ Ron is happy to stay here, but he does know someone who wants to leave, he tells the two. His trainee, Miranda, was more than eager to escape with them, but afraid her parents might find out. (She’ll have bigger problems than her parents.) The girl makes the boys list three valid reasons on why she should come. When they are unable to do so, she grins and says, ‘Well, this is perfect. You don’t have a single idea how tired I am of people being show-offs about their ‘lawful skill’.’ She gladly joins the group and leaves via the table (since the creator made the portal, it’ll be there as long as the creator permits it.) Ron tells them to visit whenever they want to.
(more to come)
Anyways here's Kitty's part:
The third princess (and the second youngest child) in line, she pretty much has no hope in becoming queen. Her two older sisters have practically waged war against each other to fight for the throne, and her younger brother was born with a sickness she’s too busy trying to heal. (She doesn’t know how, but she’ll try). Thinks the healers at the castle are useless. Has tried giving them tips but they never listened. Likes spending time in her hidey hole to study or come up with plans. Ah, her plans. She sure lives up to her name. This sneaky girl has carried out a world record of pranks all over the castle. And nobody notices because they’re too caught up in their stuff. The only reason why she doesn’t wanna leave is because of her brother, though most people in the Storydudes thinks it’s because she wants the princessy rights (eh, half true). So when she’s dragged into their mess in the second part, she is not happy. At all. She refuses to help, purposely acts as a child, and drags everyone behind. Her secret dream is to become an actress or a singer, and not in the forced way she’s had to be trained as. But when she’s thrown into the world of adventure, she’s exposed to all kinds of different jobs she never knew a princess like her could take on. Even pampered, she still has hidden strength inside her that has driven her to keep trying to save her brother over the years. Also she’s kinda short so- haha
