This whole mess starts in the VoiceWorld, where voices live. Voices are a little like souls, so you can imagine what they might be like. (Note that there are still differences.) Before there was the VoiceWorld, there was simply nothing. Then from nothing, suddenly sprang something. That something was just a flicker of light, barely a fraction of a voice. But it was enough. The darkness had been waiting, waiting for this one little burst of energy, to set off a chain reaction. There was a blinding white light, and from it, came three voices. They were in turmoil, their forms unstable. It took all their might to hold themselves together. But hold themselves together they managed, and when the storm finally dissipated, they found themselves in darkness again. Yet it wasn’t the nothingness from the start, but simply a world in need of light, a darkened room waiting for someone to find the light switch. And so they set off, spreading light to this dark world, letting life bloom like flowers in the first traces of spring. Slowly, slowly, they changed the once-barren tundra into a thriving paradise. The first beings other than them worshipped the three of them, and the citizens decided to make them deities. One ruled over the land, one ruled over the people, one ruled over time there (note that this voice’s control over time is specifically being able yo see every possible path for that every voice. ) Okay, so after like, a couple million years, they decided to pass on their gifts to other voices. (I actually don’t know if they are the three voice’s kids, or if they were gifted the ability. Let’s just say they’re given the power). So, yeah, the three voices looked far and wide for voices that were suitable. In the end, they decided on five voices. (They had initially planned on just three, but apparently something happened. Yes, yes, I’ll have to make that up.) So these five voices actually have no idea they were picked, so the three older voices just kept an eye on them until they were brought together by fate. So they have their adventures, pass the tests. Well, only four of them pass. The other…Well, I’ll make up something. (Perfect to use for a plot twist 😉.) And also decide on what the trials are. Oof. As I was saying, the four voices had their martyrdom (I guess that’s what you would call it?), and boom, four new gods. So the three older deities only stayed with them for a week or so, and trained them as much as they could. (They were already fading away, since they have no purpose in the VoiceWorld if their ‘kids’ had taken over, at least in the known parts of the VoiceWorld.) When the three voices left to some dusty corner of the VoiceWorld, (Note: They are alive. I have an idea how the place where they ‘retired’ to is looks like, but idk what to call it) Now, the young gods are left to rule on their own. Tuesday of the Timeline, Ruler of the past, present and future, God of Clocks, Seers, Magic (associated to the mind) and Literature…(Each god’s name is actually millions of letters long, since each of them ruled over a lot of stuff. During their ascend to godhood, the priests has to say their whole name. In one go. And they have to just stand there and wait. Oh, also, they celebrate their martyrdom each year like that too. Poor priests.)Jayson of the Burning Flames, Ruler of The Sun, God of Passion, Phoenixes (one way to call voices who are connected to light), Magic (specifically involving fire), and Poetry…(also, their names are actually just translated to letters humans can understand, or names they were given when they were transported to the Old World, [where the Old humans lived. It’s only called the old world because there’s a new one now. It also has an actual name, but it’s long been forgotten. It’s also not in a language humans can understand.] since their original godly names are in the VoiceWorld language.) The other two gods, whom names I have not decided, are the Ruler of the Monsterhearts (those voices whose monsters have awoken), God of Nature and It’s Wrath, Hurricanes (one way to call those bestowed with her power), Magic (specifically related to nature), and Visual Arts…, and the Ruler of the Dead, God of Darkness, Black Diamonds (one way to call his soldiers), Magic (specifically related to the dark arts, like resurrection), and Ingenuity….
