The past stays in the past... or does it?
Ever heard the saying 'Don't dwell on the past'? Well, this isn't always the case. Being a writer, a creator, is all about rethinking past events that shaped your art. Today, I'll be telling you about the things that have shaped my art and me.
How does the past affect us?
The past has no bounds. Everyone that ever existed has a past, and their past as subsequently affected their present and their future. You can't run from it. Whatever affects you physically, emotionally, or mentally stays with you, it's just the matter of how long. For me, as an artist, many artists and works of art have stayed with me till now, and affect me in many different ways. Whatever I write or create heavily depends on what piece of art or writing I am currently fixated on, but there have been a few undeniable roots in which my art has grown and flourished from.
What are some things I've gotten inspiration from?
Here are some things that inspired a lot of my writing:
1. Hilda (you can find it on Netflix)
It was one of my comfort shows, and I looked up to lot of the characters, which shaped me as a person. It has some really interesting topics being discussed in the show :)

2. Percy Jackson series
I'm confident some of you may know of this series already. This series is an extremely popular all over the globe, and many people are now interested in mythologies, specifically Greek mythology. In some of my works, you can see references, and many of my characters hare demigods as well. I never meant to make gods until I read the PJ series!

3. 7 Voices 7 Hearts: Being one of the more popular comics on Pixelart, it caught my attention almost immediately, (probably because it also has the number 7 in it, which is my lucky number). This comic was what truly started my passion to create my own characters, starting by labelling the 'voices' in my head just like the creator of this webcomic has. After that, I combined the world I had made and my characters together, and slowly made it into something of my own. Now, you may see some references of the creator's own voices and fan-made voices (and my own voices!) in my stories.
